Restore vista user profile possible?

For wrong reason I deleted my primary user profile and now all my setting are
gone. I'm getting a message that any changes I now make will not last beyond
a re-boot. Is there anyway to restore a user profile, or do I have to
recreate everything?

Bob, try booting to safe mode then use system restore to get you back to
original..
