Can't create users.....

I tried running the transfer wizard on an xp machine, and I cancelled it
at 3%. When I try to create a new user it says "the specified account
name is not valid. because the name cannot contain the characters /\?*
etc. please chose a different name" but the name DOES NOT contain any of
these characters. It look slike the transfer tried to create the
accounts, but when I cancelled it I now can't create them anymore. Is
there a way to manually delete them? What can I do?:cry:

I'm having exactly the same problem. Brand new machine. It's frustrating.
Any solutions?
