remote user unable to log into laptop
I have a user that telecommutes. OS is Vista Business. He logs into the
laptop using his domain\username id. At this point he has not connected to
VPN and the corporate domain. He changed his pw on Thursday and shutdown the
laptop that evening. The laptop now does not accept his new or old password.
When I log him in with the Admin account, the user account for him does not
allow us to reset the password on the account because it views it as his
domain account. The password on the local laptop and the domain are not in
sync, how do I get them sync'd back up if I can log him in. I often have a
problem where it seems to take a long time for the user's laptop cache to
sync up once they change their domain passwords, is there anything I can do
differently here. I have looked at several of the options listed for
password reset and none of these seem to apply. I can log into the laptop
using the local Admin credentials. He does not have a password reset disk.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
