password reset disk

In help and support it states - you'll need removable media such as a USB
flash drive or CD.
But when I try to use CD all I get is - This feature requires removable
media, such as floppy drive or USB flash drive.
I always thought a CD was removable media. I do not have a flash drive or
floppy but have loads of CD's.
Is there any way round this problem.

Hi Dicky,

I would just get yourself a small cheap $25 or so USB flash drive stick
to use for making the password reset disk. It would be cheaper, easier,
and more reliable than a floppy.

If you find yourself in a bind before then, this tutorial will show you
some methods on how to reset the password.
