what is difference between run as admin and admin group?

In my vista box, I mapped a network drive and I run as a standard
user, it access the network drive without any problem. But when I use
'run as' admin, the network drive is not available. Does anyone know
why is it happening?
It looks like the admin is running under completly different profile
thats why it is not seeing it?

Any ideas?

You do not state what you are actually running as administrator after mapping
the drive.
