how to remove corrupt uninstaller from add/remove in vista

I have installed an application and then removed it from control panel in
vista however the application is still present in the listed programs. This
is forbidding me from trying to reinstall the application. How do I remove
the corrupt uninstaller in vista. it was vise uninstaller-irish
