Mouse click only works while moving the mouse

I run Vista Ultimate (64) on a new computer. Most of the time my left mouse
button is only seen by the system if I move the mouse at the same time as
clicking.
It is very annoying since this is not what you normally do. Also placing a
cursor in a text box needs the extra move concurrently.

Checking all drivers report back that they operate and are the latest
version available.
Any ideas how I can diagnose further? Can a driver still be faulty when the
driver info says it operates well?

Wireless optical Desktop Receiver 3.0A .

Je mag hier gewoon nederlands gebruiken hoor.
Heb je het ook een met een andere muis geprobeerd?
Muis eventueel in een andere USB-poort proberen.

Had niet eens door dat Dutch aan stond .
Zulke simpele tips en ik heb ze nog niet eens geprobeerd.
In andere USB, dan gaat de receiver die zowel keyboard als muis draadloos
ontvangt naar andere poort. Ga ik proberen.

Andere muis, dan wordt dat een muis naar heel andere USB (niet draadloos) en
ook andere drivers. Ga ik proberen en verwacht dat dat radicaal genoeg is om
het euvel te laten verdwijnen. In dat geval weet ik nog niet zeker wat mijn
conclusie dan is.

Helaas, andere muis en andere USB poort lossen het niet op, MAAR heb ontdekt
dat het alleen bij mijn USER gebeurt en niet als ik van gebruiker wissel.
Daar kan de muis gewoon stil liggen terwijl ik met linker knop iets selecteer.

Ik test het effect bij voorkeur met Google Maps met Photos aangezet.
Bij mij verdwijnt het vingerwijshandje (actief) direkt na op een mini
afbeelding te gaan staan. Bij andere gebruiker blijft het wijsvingertje dus
wel staan en kan ik gewoon klikken om de foto te openen.

Wat is user-specifiek met betrekking tot muis? Wie heeft een hint die me
verder helpt?

Gaarne onder het bericht antwoorden, dan blijft e.e.a. overzichtelijk.
De specifieke instellingen vind je via Start > Configuratiescherm (klassieke
weergave) > Muis.
Wellicht dat je daar de standaard instellingen kun herstellen.

Dat had ik reeds eerder geprobeerd zonder succes. Het moet kennelijk wel
iets zijn dat in de persoonlijke programs en data voorkomt.

Ik neem aan dat de drivers zelf niet voor iedere gebruiker nieowe kopieën
draat.

Ik peins. Alle processen vergelijken bij de geruikers? Dat zijn er denk ik
heel wat.

Als de useraccount beperkte rechten heeft, zal je wel in ieder geval op
"alle gebruikers" moeten klikken in taakbeheer. Anders zie je een heel groot
aantal actieve systeemprocessen niet. Dat zou zonde zijn om over te doen,
natuurlijk

Maar iets anders weet ik echt niet.

Bij sommigen helpt het als ze bij ConfigScherm - Muis het Aanwijsspoor
inschakelen.
