DVD maker does not list my DVD player/recorder

Hi
I followed an earlier link to microsoft help for the problem that DVD maker
does not recognize my DVD player/recorder. I am working on VISTA premium.
I tried to remove the upper and lower filters in my registry but there are
no such mentioned in my registry, so this can not be the problem. The DVD
recorder works fine with Nero 7 but is not recognized by DVD maker.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey Charly,

Further down in the list myself and someone called "Jaap" posted the same
question in this newsgroup. There is not an easy fix at this moment. Nobody
exactly knows what the problem is. I'm in contact with Microsoft discussing
this problem, but they propose solutions I've already tried. If I come
across a solution I will let you know.

What I've done so far:

* Removed the upper and lowerfilters in the registry
* Uninstalled my hardware and re-installing it
* I completely re-installed Vista

So far without result. Hope there will be a fix soon. If you hear of a fix
please let me know!
