Scanner HP scanjet 4570c

De scanner HP 4570c is al enige keren besproken in deze nieuwsgroep.
Hieronder volgt informatie die ik onlangs van HP ontving over het gebruik
van deze scanner met Vista. De informatie laat aan duidelijkheid niets te
wensen over en spreekt voor zich zelf.


Dear Detmer,

Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.

I understand that you have a scanjet 4570c scanner and you are trying to
use it with Windows Vista. I also understand that you are able to select
only the WIA whereas the TWAIN is greyed out.

Detmer, I would like to share this information with you that your
scanner is not fully compatible with Windows Vista and hence you will
only be able to use the basic functionality of the scanner. You will not
be able to use the special features of the scanner like scanning slides,
copying to printer, etc with Windows Vista.

Therefore, I would recommend you to continue scanning through the WIA
and you will not be able to scan through TWAIN.

I would also recommend you to download and install the basic drivers for
the scanner from our website which will allow the scanner to work with
Windows Vista.

This driver makes it possible to use the basic functions of the scanner.

Probeer eens de laatste versie van vuescan te instaleren, deze ondersteund
meerder scanners die ook niet door vista ondersteunt worden.

Uit ervaring gebruik ik ook Vuescan, omdat ik een "oude" scanner waarvan
door de fabrikant geen vista driver meer geleverd wordt, er mee aan de praat
heb gekregen.
