Issues with WSUS Client

Hi when trying to remediate from wsus client over CISCO VPN client, the
windows xp machine fails to contact the windows update server. PInging the
serverm dns,telnet into port 8530 of the WSUS server checks out fine.

The error below is displayer when running the clientidag.exe wsus diagnostic
tool.

WinhttpDownloadFileToMemory(szURLDest, NULL, 0, NULL, NULL, NULL,
&downloadBuffer) failed with hr0x80072efd

A connection with the server could not be established.

Any ideas?

Does the client know to use that port?
You could check with netcap to see if it is trying it.
Actually you could also use Fiddler2 but then you would have
to set up an unusual proxy to make it work.

In any case MUC is not WSUS. Cross-posting for convenience.
