Ideacom touchscreen update

I'm running XP SP3. I thought, wouldn't it be cool to download this update
from Microsoft, and if I get a touchscreen, I'll already have the driver.

After I installed it, my mouse quit working. Using the keyboard, I can
navigate to the device manager, manually uninstall the device, reboot, and
the mouse works.

Problem is: XP automatically reinstalls it after restarting, so I've got to
remove it every time I turn on my PC. OK for me, but my wife can't quite
follow my directions to do that.

The optional update doesn't show up under add/remove programs.

How can I permanently remove this update/driver?
