dont install updates says failed

every time i go to windows update it downloads the updates but doesnt install
them it says they failed. but how i can i install them as i have a large
amount that has built up now to install.

Also advise what operating system you have. Are there any specific error codes?

Any cludes in the Update log in Windows:-

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type: %windir%\windowsupdate.log
and then click OK.

Scroll down towards the bottom for the latest entries to locate the error code(s)
associated with the latest failed attempt to download/install. If appropriate copy and
paste the error codes into the new thread you are going to post on the Windows Update
Newsgroup so someone may be able to assist you. On the other hand, you may be able to find
the error code and other suggestions by searching the Windows Update Newsgroup.

hi wondering if you figiured out the problem i installed a new motherboard
and have same problem do i have to delete microftt updates and reinstall
them again and also having troulbe with the puting on pics from camera

You need to post this issue to the Windows Update newsgroup as this one,
Microsoft Update Catalog, deals with issues with just that, not WU issues:
