problem with windows update page

I dont no what happened but i lost my update page it comes up with an error
and no yellow bar shows on top either for me to x on the active x control ive
been talking to a ms prfessional to no avail all I did was quit att sbc and
have a new internet provider I changed the owner name and password evrything
seems ok except for my update page anyone help me?
