Unable to run Windows or Office Update - Webpage seems to think I'

I am getting the following error whenever I try to access Windows update and
Office update on both my desktop and notebook computers. It appears that it
thinks my system is a Mac instead of XP Media Center. The message below
appears on the Windows update page:

Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems
only.
To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh
operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/.

Any ideas what's going on here? I have run all anti-virus and anti-spamware
programs and registry scan and can find no errors.

Thank you for your quick reply. I went to the first link you listed and
followed the instruction to test what was being revealed by the user agent.
It seemed to be ok. It indicated IE7 and Mozola.

I also went to another site ( http://winware.org/de/browsertest.php ) to
check the user agent being reported and got the following:
