Trying to prevent MS update giving me things that I don't want.

With automatic update turned on you have no idea what is going to be dumped
in your computer; your not notified in advance.

Every 10 minutes MS Update is trying to dump IE7 on my computer. I think IE6
is much easier to use and I don't want IE7

How do you find what is going to be dumped on you before it is too late?

Set Windows Update:
Open windows/Microsoft Update.
Click "Change settings" on the left side.
"Download updates but let me choose..."
Or
"Check for updates but let me choose..."
You can also select "Never check..." but you will have to make it a
point to check since there will be no notification.
