problem updating,
i cant use the windows update button on the start menu.
I am using IE 7 on a 64-bit system, and when i use the
button to access the update website it launches the 32-bit ver of IE, (not a
problem)
but the problem comes in when it asks me to install the activeX add-on.
When I install it, it will allow me access the update website, (but just for
that day)
after a general routine shutdown, i notice my IE (32bit) no longer works,
(therefore no more updates) the 64 bit IE still works, (but because no
add-ons are
allowed right?)
I mean, i really don't see the difference between the 32 and 64 ver's, and
i am able to surf on the 64 version, but i am no longer able to use the update
website, althoughi still get updates from microsoft automatically, i would
like the
option of choosing optional updates, besides critical updates, like optional
hardware and software updates.
any information is helpful
thanks,
Isauro
