Micosoft Update

Before I downloaded the Microsoft update "Windows Malicious Software Removal
Tool Sep 2007" my computer was going fine. Now it keeps restarting on it's
own. If I leave it alone, it goes fine. But if I open some programs, it
shuts down and starts up. My anti-spyware & anit-virus are fully up to date
and have found nothing. I haven't added any new software or hardware and
I've even tried rolling back to an earlier date. But the problem is still
there.
I hope someone out the has a solution for me.

I've ran into this problem before and it could be a couple things. It could
be hardware, like your RAM (memory) going bad. It could be software, like the
OS (operating system) registry(s) going bad. I've seen both cases do the
exact problem that you are describing.

An internal fan that has quit working can cause this also. The system will
overheat and re-start itself and seem to be fine only to re-boot again when
it becomes too hot again.
