IE8 opens with wireless, not with cable connection

IE8 opens with a wireless connection, but if I close the wireless connection
and try and connect via cable, IE8 will not open even though the cable
connection shows as 'open'. This all worked fine until recently. Should I
re-install IE8?

I would suggest you check IE's connection settings to see if it's being
forced to use the wireless one.
