iexplorer.exe is the name of all versions og Internet Explorer. That name
is what I would expect to find in the registry.

No, I don't believe that IE needs to be enabled.

Perhaps you can get some information from the event viewer.

Re: IE in Registry
Try

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Internet Explorer (no-Addons)

You would make things worse by going to the registry.

Refer to this link http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113.aspx
for troubleshooting IE problems.

Always state your Windows and IE versions when posting to newsgroups.

Regards.

Anyone know what IE is listed as in the registry?

My IE won't start. I get the hour glass and then it stops. Maybe it needs
enabled, huh?

Re: IE in Registry
And how did you decide that you need to edit the registry in order to
repair Internet Explorer?

More the point: If you know so little about the Windows registry, why
are you trying to mess with it?

Re: IE in Registry
Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2;
Vista SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) as well as your IE version
when posting in an IE-specific forum or newsgroup.
