You failed to mention what operating system you are using?
For Windows XP:
1. Open Windows Explorer and click on Tools||Folder Options...||File Type.
2. Select the "ZIP" file type from the list and click on the Advanced
button.
3. Put a checkmark in the box next to "Confirm open after download".
