IE Password Fields losing/missing characters

Hi,
In the last couple weeks, IE has started to leave out characters that I type
into password fields. I have to type them extremly slowly (like 1 per second)
to keep it from skipping characters of my passwords. It makes me nervous that
some virus is stealing my passwords or something. Is this a known issue and
can I get rid of it?
