down loading files in IE 8

More than 50% of all files I am downloading are being corrupted since
installing IE 8. I am running XP Pro w/ser pack 3 and all updates before MS
turned off the autoupdate. Email is chibas4@hotmail.com or
chibas@windstream.net. Sure would love some help if anyone knows what is
going on.

When did they do that?

One thing I would check for is malware, since you appear to be not fully
aware of safe practices. (Never post a valid email address in a news
post unless you enjoy receiving spam.)
