IE - 8 Refresh Rate
Windows XP(Home) SP3, OE6, IE8; Plenty of RAM & HHD space. Continuous checks
for Virus/Malware

Does anyone know if the refresh rate in IE-8, can be adjusted to a longer or
shorter delay before activating.

Thanks for any help.

Re: IE - 8 Refresh Rate
Thanks for the answer PA Bear, that does work. Unfortunately, what I was
looking for was an answer to, when I am in a newsgroup and reading a lengthy
posting, the entry/screen will refresh due to my slow reading, and I'll be
back at the top of the post. I was wondering if there was a way to increase
the delay in those instances I am visiting the newsgroups. There is a lot
of good information/instructions here that I like to keep.

Re: IE - 8 Refresh Rate
[crosspost to OE General]

You referenced IE8 in your first post but I /believe/ you meant OE.

1. OE Tools | Options | General | Check for new messages every XX minutes

2. OE Tools | Accounts | News | [MS Public] | Properties | General | Include
this account when...

Setting #1 above controls OE's "fresh rate" assuming setting #2 above is
enabled.

Tip: Do not enable #2 to avoid the behavior. If you want to download new
headers, tap F5.
