Temporary Files - Viewing Attachments

I use IE7, Windows XP and Hotmail.

I usually select "Remember me on this computer" when signing on to Hotmail.
This is so that I can view attachments before saving them.

Recently, when I attempt to view attachments, Hotmail/IE starts the process
of downloading to a temporary file but then I get an error message to the
effect that the folder for temporary files cannot be found.

I tried to sort the error out by going into Internet options and moving the
folder containing the temporary files.

I selected C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\

This did not seem to work and when I looked at the new location for the
temporary files the setting showed

C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Temporary Internet Files\

Please advise.
