Internet Explorer displays xml/xhtml content in an inconsistent manner

I don't expect much of a response here, maybe there's another forum, but
when both the other browers, ie mozilla and opera have no variation
whatsoever with XML and XSLT using CSS, it would seem rather pathetic that
IE can be so backward with its' "compatibility mode" approach that can't
even apply measurement units in a proper manner.

When is this clunker of a browser going to get fixed once and for all?
