IE 8 & Win 7

I have installed IE 8 & Win 7. When I use IE 8, I start to lose displays in
the individual panes in the main window frame. MS had me reset IE 8 to the
defaults. This cleans up the problem until the first web browsing after
reset. Every time I reset, I also have to reboot. getting old, any ideas.
I'm about to reset the computer to the "as setup" from the factory and
upgrading without installing any programs.
