internet explorer 8

since installing the above upgrade, history is deleted on on closing down
internet explorer. I have checked all settings and they seem to be correct.
Can anyone help with this problem.

[Tools]>[Internet Options], "General" tab. "Browsing History" block, make sure
"[ ]Delete browsing history on exit" is not checked. Check the "Settings"
button, too (if "Days to keep history:" is set to 0 or 1 the effect would be
similar). Internet Options can also be reached through Control Panel.

Also, some anti-spyware and system cleaners can delete browsing history. Make
sure they are configured to delete only what you want deleted.

Thanks G.R. for pointing me in the right direction. Anti-spyware was
configured to delete history
