Search Window Question
(Running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP-2, IE-8, WM-6, classic
mode, dial-up.)

In the upper-right-hand corner there is a window into which
one can type terms to be used in searching. Whenever I
start to type in that window a small box immediately below
it opens, with the logos for 4 search engines shown, and a
button for "find".

I see no purpose for that lower window. Is there an easy
way to remove it? I've searched in the obvious places but
have not found a way to remove it.

Thanks.

Re: Search Window Question
Ne Ho Lee,

Tools>Manage Addons, Search Providers.

Disable Search Suggestions for each search provider where the Suggest sites
feature is enabled.

Regards.

I had already done that, as part of searching for ways to
solve the problem. The logos and find button remain after
the Suggest Sites feature is disabled.

Other ideas?

Thanks.
