Windows update problem

I'm using Window Vista and IE 8. After updating the latest cumulative
security update KB974455 and the batch, though it's succeeded, all IE, Win
live mail, and messenger are running extremely slow. But Firefox is OK. How
can i fix the problems?

Any improvement when running IE in no-Addons mode?

Did you have DEP switched off before the update? Is it still enabled? Have
you rebooted since the update?

Which service pack is now installed? (1 or 1).

Had rebooted it. After rebooting it, it runs faster for 5-6 hours then
slowed down again.
