IE8 Updated Email Default changed

Since updating IE8, my default email program seems to be Outlook Express but
the
Internet options > Programs > Email still shows Moxilla Thunderbird which is
what I want. When I open email from the 'Envelope' on Internet Explorer it's
Outlook Express.

I can only get Mozilla from my saved shortcut.

Any ideas?

Open Thunderbird. Do Tools-Options and on the General Tab click the "Check
Now" button in System Defaults. When it asks you if you want TBird to be
default email, say Yes.

What Gordon said. Also make sure that Tbird's the default for Mail in Set
Program Access and Defaults.
