Search Providers in IE 8

Since I installed IE 8, the new "Search Providers" keeps popping up, forcing
me to use Bing as my default search engine. I don't like Bing, don't want
Bing! I've checked Google as the default provider and the "Prevent programs
....." box but whenever I change screens, the search providers box continues
to pop up. This is seriously irritating and I'm at a loss to figure out how
to stop it. Any suggestions??
