IE Pops to the Front
Hi,

I have a problem where IE (both 7 and 8) pop to the front when using
another application.
We have a custom written application, which does not interact with IE at
all, yet on some machines when the mouse is right-clicked, IE is brought
to the front if it is running.
This seems to be a problem on some HP machines (running XP SP3) and I
have not seen it on others, and am unable to reproduce it.
I do not think it is a problem with the other application, but I am at a
bit of a loss now.

Has anyone else seen this sort of behaviour, and has anyone found a
solution to it?

Thankyou.

Paul

Re: IE Pops to the Front
Hi,
1. See if a browser add-on is causing the problem.
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.

For troubleshooting information see:

2. Try the VBS script at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line

Hope this helps,
