IE7 not opening webpages

OS Vista Home Premium. IE error message stating "Cannot display the
webpage", however Vista says connected to internet and "diagnose" says no
problem found. Sidebar and MS updates still coming through. I know
router/modem ok because other vista computer workingfine. (Firefox will not
open pages either) Any ideas please?

Have now installed IE8 but no change.

First, have you reset the modem and/or router?

Then...
1. With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall or re-enable browser add-ons, work
through this article:

2. You may have an incompatible browser add-on installed. (Also covered in
