Hi,
1. Many secure sites (banks, other financial sites, etc.) don't allow
password caching/AutoComplete.
2. Internet Options. Content> AutoComplete> Settings, is AutoComplete
enabled for passwords? Is "Ask me" checked?
3. Clearing all stored passwords may reset the troublesome sites and allow
the prompt to appear.
Useful for recovering stored passwords before you clear all stored login
data:
IE PassView- NirSoft:

You may be able to use IE Passview to delete data (even if there's not a
stored password) for only the affected sites.
Hope this helps,
Don
