IE 8 not working at all
I can't start IE 8 ....I always get the message that there is a proplem with
IE 8 and that I will get a message when the problem will be resolved. I can't
understand this because it worked until the last update without any problem.
A reset of my computer t didn't solve the problem...

Re: IE 8 not working at all
Hi,

Which version of Windows? (Including SP level- SP1,SP2,etc.)

> A reset of my computer didn't solve the problem...

Do you mean a reset of IE settings from Internet Options> Advanced?
- - -
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.

For troubleshooting information see:

You should be able to get more details about that symptom.

Possible explanations would be something you have installed is no longer
compatible or something you have installed was running when you installed
the update and interfered with it. Etc.

In fact, RIES is a weaker repair than many of us wanted.
In case your install incompletely updated your registry you could try
some regsvr32.exe commands:

Good luck
