Hi,
Which version of Internet Explorer? Did the problems start just after
upgrading from IE7 to IE8 (if that was done?)
Which e-mail provider are you checking- web-based like gmail or yahoo or
e-mail provided by the college?
Has an antivirus program or security suite always been installed, running
and kept updated?
