Instant Search box

I am on Windows XP SP3, Internet Explorer 8.0
Instant Search box features changed from IE 7.0 to 8.0. I use to be able to
configure and use any search engine in the Instant search box. Now I am
limited. How do I set up the option for a unique search engine like was
available in IE7.0?

Perhaps. The defaults are fewer than I remember but I don't consider that "limited".
Just use the Find more providers or the Manage Search Providers tools.

Is there a specific search that you can't find or implement using the above tools?
