IE speaks Spanish

I have IE 8 installed on my Win XP machine. Recently, I searched a Google
map and was surprised when a new tab of IE opened in Spanish. I reset Text
Encoding to Western European, country to USA, nevertheless, all text on the
page still was in Spanish. Why? How to make IE speak English again?

Check your Language Preference? Alt-T,O,Alt-L
Also, with Google especially, you can get language features according to
the location of your ISP. So, if your ISP is thought to be primarily Spanish
that may be what you get as a result.
