IE8 login issue

Hi,
At Walmart's retaillink website I am unable to type in the password and
then enter the site.
When I type it in notepad, or excel, and then copy and paste it, it works.
Keyboard input does not.
This same thing happens with IE7. This is a general issue, and specific to
this PC.
Any ideas on what is causing this?

ps: the password includes upper and lower case letters, and numbers.

Did you mean *not* specific to this PC? Does it happen with other sites?

Which version of Windows? (Including SP level- SP1, SP2, etc.)
Which version of Internet Explorer?

First try...
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.

Hi Don, yeah, I meant it was NOT specific to this PC. My neighbor couldn't
get into her yahoo mail acct, and this approached worked for her, too. She
was running XP Home SP3 and IE8 on an 8 year old HP laptop with 256k ram.
This machine is using Visa SP2, but the same thing happens on my XP Pro SP3
desktop, too. Both are running IE8, also a desktop in Florida running XP
Pro SP3. is also running IE8. When I connect at the local library, I can
just type in the password and access the site.
Thanks for the tip about the add-on. I'll look into that and report back.
