SVG Support
I am using IE7 but it cannot render my SVGs while FireFox can. Since SVG is
the future of vector imaging for the web, does IE8 provide the support?

No, IE8 does not have native SVG support.

Apparently Google are working on a Javascript library to add SVG to IE8: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/06...rnet_explorer/

Read the following for some history:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vml
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svg

While the 2nd article mentions a plug-in for IE to add SVG support,
Adobe dropped support for their plug-in back in Jan 2009 (as I recall,
it didn't work very well).

A web site should do its own checking as to which web browser is
connected to it. If IE, the web site should switch to a VML coded web
page (or adjust its dynamic content using Javascript). If not IE, the
web site should switch to using SVG. Both are standardized formats.

Be leery of advice from a SPAMMER who has a different agenda than the
pretense of giving help. This one does knows how to put his spam in a
signature but refuses to do so because some newsreaders strip off the
signature. He wants to ensure you see his spam.
