Live mail issues since upgrade to explorer 8
I am receiving the following error since upgrading to explorer 8... is there
anyone with some advice on how I can fix this?

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://192.168.1.235/cgi/blocked?
The following error was encountered:
• Connection to Failed
The system returned:
(64) Host is down
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.
Your cache administrator is helpdesk@paltrack.co.za.

If I try to access my live mail via Mozilla Firefox, I can get into my email
account without the abovementioned error but the outlay is distorted, the
hyperlinks don't work (i.e. cannot open any emails or move emails to folders
or...), buttons don't display properly....

Would appreciate any help.

You'll find support for Windows Live Mail (WLMail) in this public newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Via the web-interface:

192.168.x.x is an IP address on your own intranet. So what host, if
any, do you have assigned to the 192.168.1.235 IP address? Something on
your host wants to go there.

So what ELSE do you have on your host that interrogates or interferes
with web traffic (anti-virus, anti-malware, ad-blocker, HIPS, firewall)?

Have yet tried running IE8 in its no add-ons mode?

Any proxies listed in Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings
(anything enabled there)?

Is paltrack.co.za your ISP? Did you call them yet to ask about problems
with their caching proxy server?
