Problems with certain sites

I started having this problem with ie 6 Iamnow useing 1e 8 and I still have
the same problem when I go to download.com to download something if my
cookies are not turned on everything totaly freezes as soon as I try to
download something
I never had that problem befoe and I have being useing download.com for years

This does not happen when I use firefox

IE Tools | Internet Options | Privacy | Sites: type in...

download.com

and Allow cookies.
