I have ie7 - on one of the websites I have decided that I do not want my ie
to store my password;
now I have changed my mind - how do I tell ie to remember my password now
for this specific website?

3. Use IE Passview to recover or export autocomplete data, then clear all
stored login data from Internet Options> Content> Autocomplete. This should
reset the prompt for all sites.
