[There haven't been SPs for IE since IE6 running in Win9x and Win2K, d00d.]

So does IE7, IE6, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. And OE6, Outlook, and
Windows [Live] Mail. And Windows (any version and any edition). And
Office, OpenOffice, and WordPerfect. And the drivers for your
motherboard and video card. As will IE8 even after the "!" service
pack. Once you find that magic elixir in the combination of software
and their versions that are stable enough for you then stick with it for
awhile despite pressure to move forward. Newer doesn't always mean
better. Always plan an escape route to get back to where you were.

You'll be waiting a long time for those perfection updates.
