Sort Order In Popups -- Please Help!!!

This issue is on the verge of driving me insane. I'm not a techie but will
try to explain:

Say I am in a forum and want to upload a file. Often there is a Browse
button that will open the directory tree. It will open in the subfolder that
I want. But I need to sort my files by Date Created, Size, etc. If I do it
once, it does not "take." I have to keep re-storing EVERY SINGLE TIME. How
do I "retain" a particular sort order for a particular subfolder for when IE8
opens up the directory tree? Re-sorting EVERY SINGLE TIME is driving me
crazy!!!!

Try this:

Open a folder and set the sort order as you want. Then go to Tools > Folder
Options > View > Apply to All Folders > OK

Now when you open a folder from the File open box, the items should be
sorted by the order you set it.
