With IE8 can not open Frontpage 2000 file names more than 12 chara

After installing IE8 I can no longer open files with Frontpage 2000 which has
a file name with more than 12 characters. Is there a fix?

Without code to look at, it is impossible to know what your problem is.
I wonder if it is not the length of the filename, but instead the
presence of special characters, e.g. spaces, which must be specially
encoded.
