IE 8 Home page

I keep changing the Home page in IE 8 but when I open IE 8 it opens with MSN
home page and not the home page I set. I've reinstalled IE 8 serveral times
but still this issue continues. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install the 'MSN optimized' version of Internet Explorer 8? Try
uninstalling the MSN version and then install the standard version directly
from Microsoft at

I had the same problem, but fortunately I looked up on my second computer,
which still had IE7 on it, what the address of the Home page was and
applying that address to IE8 solved the problem. Go to Tools > Internet
Options and insert the address of the page you want.

Have you found a solution to this problem, since? Because I haven't found
any of the help below at all useful, and I'm having a similar problem with my
IE8.
No matter how many times I change my home page, my old home page, which I
used when I upgraded to Vista from XP, years ago, keeps returning about an
hour later, whether I close the IE or not! It is weird. My old home page is
not due to any other application or malware: it is an esoteric website few
people beside myself would even know about.

I have also followed instructions posted on another such discussion site,
called "Microsoft answers", removed IE8 and reinstalled it, yet the problem
persists!

Help, somebody!
