IE 8.0 Option when first downloaded to XP

So I downloaded 8.0 for XP. It opened up with a main screen asking me for my
option (had a huge Explorer logo on it). I set my default to Yahoo and then
I think I unchecked a box for something regarding CLear Search. It said I
could always go back an check it. Does anyone know where that is and what it
was?

ClearType, maybe?

Were you running IE6 or IE7 before you installed IE8?

Are you running WinXP SP2 or SP3?
