ie does not work, firefox does

ie8 stopped working. when i try to use it says i have no connection. email
works normally. firefoxx works as that is what i am using now. any ideas why
it does not.
i reinstalled ie8 and same prob.

I think it's a IPv6.0 related issue, but do not know this for sure...
I had exactely the same problem; firefox ok, ie8 not...
Try Restart in safemode with network (press F8 upon restart) Internet
Explorer.. Now a message box should appear, press "YES". Restart Internet
Explorer to check if it is working...
Restart PC in normal mode.
I am sure there are other sollutions to this

i have done this 3 times IE8 doesnt work very well on vista. somepages it
will open some it wont. and that compatablity thing is a bunch of whoeeee. i
went back to 7 everytime it does it automaticly once you uninstall IE8..heck
i cant get firefox to work i play games in pogo. once th epop up comes up
and stays there for a bit it crashes. and yesi unchecked the pop up thing in
tools.
