Can't get IE8 history to show past 'today'

I've looked all over the forums for an answer to this problem. I do not have
'InPrivate' browsing on; 'Delete browsing history on exit' is not checked; I
have it set to remember 20 days of browsing, with 200mg space. I'm running
Windows Vista 32bit. Can ANYONE help me with this?

Are you running Vista, Vista SP1, or (heaven forbid) Vista SP2 beta?

Is CCleaner installed and running at boot?

Does the behavior persist after uninstalling IE8?

Do you have third-party software that is set to limit your History,
and/or erase it upon restart?
